Adventuring
When I graduated from Leicester University in the early 1980’s my first job was in business travel. This facilitated the opportunity to visit some pretty exciting places and gave me an unquenchable thirst for adventuring. Not the bungee jumping, sky diving, pot holing type of adrenalin rush activity but exploring far flung countries and experiencing different cultures. Airline sponsored educational visits included trips to Budapest, Russia, USA, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Israel as well as weekends spent in Holland, Belgium, Italy (Rome being my favourite city in the world) and Paris.
Despite giving up the travel business career when my children were born and we moved to Dubai we still managed to have some pretty amazing adventures in Lapland, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Egypt, South Africa, Oman, New York,Greece, Nepal and India.
Through school visits with the dragon books more recently I have been fortunate to visit Beijing, Bahrain and in September 2011 am looking forward to visiting Indonesia for the first time. Just back from Zambia and that was AWESOME…I will blog seperately about that trip.

Hi Debi. Found one of your Dragon Books in charity shop today. Signed to a Mia – which is great, as my sister’s boyfriend’s daughter is called Mia, and reads all the time, so i bought for her.
I had chat with you at the Marlborough College Food and Craft event recently.
Nice to have met you in person too. Happy New Year.

That’s great news Louise! They are out of print so may one day become collectors items! Hope Mia enjoys. Happy New Year to you too… Rolo and I are cracking on with Book 4 in his series 🐶🐾🐉
