Over the hills and far away…after summer rain!

#rolodogblog, Suzie and I set out this morning expecting to do our usual river Kennet walk and back (40 mins). Instead we went ‘over the top’ – across the buttercup meadows, through the beech woods, across stiles, single file across wheat fields (where I couldn’t resist doing a Maximus (opening sequence of Gladiator) down The Drove into Manton, along church lane to St Georges Preshute and back up the hill to home. I’m on my knees and the dogs look like they’d happily go round again! All I can say is ‘my how it’s all grown’ since I last did this lovely walk a few weeks ago!
