Rolo’s Easter Sunrise

Rolo was extremely surprised to be winkled out of his basket at 5am, bundled into the car and driven to Clench Common. There, released from the car, on a long lead (it was still dark!) he went into husky mode and dragged me 15 minutes uphill where 30 or so bleary eyed Christians and a few dogs gathered to take communion on Easter Sunday at sunrise. Despite having 10 consecutive glorious sunrises alas it was misty and damp but I’m glad we made the effort. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.

Good to see St George’s Preshute full this morning too! My first chocolate in 6 weeks…it’s going straight to my head and, I fear, my hips!

Easter joy to you all! P.s. Rolo is still trying to work out why I got a biscuit and a drink on our dark walk and he got nothing!

This is what happens in the afternoon when you get up ridiculously early!
