settling

I have not for one minute regreted my decision to stay in England. As the Summer draws to a close, the daddy long legs find a way in, the evenings are a little chillier and the daylight hours shorter, sad goodbyes to older folk and close friends…this is the time I usually start thinking positives about returning to the Theme Park. But this year I won’t be having to do that. Instead I am looking forward to long all weather walks in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, Autumn colours and the smell of damp earth and funghi, pints of Wadworth 6X (ok not too many!), yoga in the scout hut, singing at Christmas with The Georgians in St Georges Preshute, Nathan starting school (please God he gets a place) and weekends with Callum at home or in London. Thermals bought many years ago for Lapland and more recently unearthed for Beijing, have been liberated once more from the airing cupboard and the hot water bottle is on standby. I KNOW we will feel the big difference in temperature and probably suffer a few colds this winter but I believe that long term happiness goes a long way to warming the heart and therefore the body. (Was never much good at science but if your heart is warm, then it must heat the blood which pumps round, right?… except it never ever seems to reach my feet!!) Oh and I’ve also got the synopsis of book 6 to look forward to tackling…..and must start arranging school visits with dragon books very soon….Life is GOOD! Now if only I could resolve the small matter of school place for Nathan, Home Status for Callum life would be PERFECT and I could sleep longer than 0400!
