Dragons to Sharjah!

I am not keen on the drive to Sharjah from Dubai….it’s not too bad using the Al Khail Road and the Emirates Road…until you have to come off, in this case just before National Pants roundabout. There then follows 15 minutes of stationary traffic until you peel away down Maleha Road, through the industrial area and at last, to the haven that is Sharjah English School. This is definitely one of the friendliest schools I have ever visited. Head of Primary Jenefer, teachers (especially Rebecca), admin staff, pupils – all are positively beaming their welcome. Years 4, 5 and 6 are dragon fans already (I visited them two years ago and was guest at their Prize Giving) so I was preaching to the converted. It was such a pleasure to meet Year 3 and explain to them all about dragons and dragon protecting. I have left a load of signed books in school (and of course Dragonore!) The journey home via the 611 was much freer flowing!

Love it – “National Pants Roundabout”! That’s the most appropriate typo I’ve seen in a long time. That section of the road really is pants!
